Sandy Chamberlain - Life Coach
Now this is probably the only time, if I am honoured to be chosen as your life coach,
that I shall bore you with my background because I shall be focused on you and your
life. But, I do know what it’s like when we are in the process of choosing someone
to trust to confide in - it’s human nature that we want to know a little about them
first so ....(deep breath)
My career to date has given me a broad business background which I feel enhances
my skills as a life coach.
From PA roles in the financial sector and fuel distribution, I moved on to a high
profile communications role for a public/private marketing partnership in the tourism
industry.
Three years living in Saudi Arabia was an experience not to be missed! I worked to
improve the social life, housing facilities and entertainment activities for a multi-national
residential compound within a challenging and often unstable environment.
On my return, I set up a public relations partnership, where clearly stated values
and working style raised the enterprises profile with important regional organisations
and decision-makers. The partnership took over editorial responsibility for a business
magazine for South Warwickshire and we coordinated responsibility for a private/public
business partnership, involving improving communications, giving general business
advice and creating networking opportunities within South Warwickshire.
Experiencing depression for a time and changing personal circumstances forced me
to take some time out to re-evaluate my own life goals and search for my purpose
and more meaning. I began a period of intense personal development and then trained
as an international yoga teacher. This enabled me to look more deeply into my own
core values and inspired me to begin my life work; training as a Life Coach was
therefore a natural progression, enhancing my skills to enable others to achieve
self-realisation. I trained with Noble-Manhattan; one of the highest rated Life Coaching
trainers with the European Coaching Institute. Along the way I also trained in the
field of customer service and am qualified in counselling skills through the Institute
of Stress Management in London.
I love my work which now focuses on improving the lives of others through my coaching,
workshops and life skills training and you may hear me from time to time, giving
a few coaching tips on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Radio as their guest life coach.
Any my hobbies ...?
Now some people say that I am mad having public speaking as a hobby! but that is
what is so wonderful about the human race - we are all so unique. I am President
of Stratford and South Warwickshire Speakers Club - a wonderful ‘not for profit’
organisation teaching public speaking skills and this year I achieved another personal
goal of winning through the South Warwickshire, West Midlands and Midlands rounds
to compete at the National ASC Public Speaking competition in Dundee.
I am a voluntary hospital radio presenter - great fun and so fulfilling to raise
the spirits of the patients with our inane banter and sometimes some common sense!
I enjoy practising and promoting the health benefits of yoga and love walking and
dancing - mainly Ceroc, Salsa and my latest passion Argentinian Tango!
I have two wonderful children (actually both adults now) who inspire me as much
as, I hope, I inspire them!
So there you are - have I disclosed enough about myself for you to feel comfortable
about giving me a call?- I do hope so as I would much prefer to listen to what you
have to say :)
