Why would I need a Life Coach?

A few leading questions for you

Did you make your new year resolutions last year and did you stick to them?  Have you made any this year?  Has anybody ever sat you down and asked you what you want out of life?

If you take yourself forward to this time next year - what would you like to have achieved by then?

Remember that achievements don’t need to be just about accomplishing something in our career or gaining something material.  It might be a state that you would like to achieve.  For instance, to be happy, contented, peaceful, healthy.

What would success mean for you?  The Oxford English Dictionary gives us three definitions.  Which one suits your current dream or goal?

“The accomplishment of an aim - a favourable outcome; the attainment of wealth, fame, or position; or a thing or person that turns out well”

A coach is someone who supports you, encourages you, believes in you and plans with you.  A coach will investigate life-options with you and will stand by you whilst you take those vital steps towards your dream.  And a life-coach will be there to celebrate with you when you achieve them!

The greatest misapprehension about coaching is that you will be advised what to do and when to do it.  A coach will never advise or instruct. Careful and skilled questioning techniques are used to lead you to discover your own truths and answers; finding your own unique way of achieving your goals.  The process takes you on a wonderful, life changing journey of self discovery.

Just for a moment, take yourself forward in time, to the latter years of your life...What would you have liked to have done, been, or achieved? How fulfilled are you in your life?  And what are you going to do about it today!?
